Punakha Drubchen Tsechu :
A five day fest Punakha Drubchen Tsechu is visited by thousands of domestic and overland travellers. Puna Drubchen is a three day fest followed by three day Punakha Tsechu. The fest recreates the dramatic battlefield of 17 centaury, the time when Tibet armies invade Bhutan to seize the Ranajung Kharsapani, a self created image of Chenrizing.
Paro Tsechu
It is one of the most enchanting and spectacular buddhist festivals of Bhutan. It is one of the major attractions of Bhutan. It is a religious festival and is celebrated in all the Dzongkhags.
Nimalung Festival
An unusual festival of Bhutan marked by a mask dances performed by layman and performers. It is accompanied by blaring horns, booming drums, and clashing cymbals. During intervals, a young woman in best of their costumes performs incredible dances.
Jambay Lhakhang Druk.
Held in honour of Guru Ranpoche, Jambay Lhakhang Druk, is yet another major festival of Bhutan that draws tourists. An array of traditional and mask dances are performed bearing significant importance. Highlight of the festival is the sacred naked dance form known as the Ter Cham and Mewang, the fire blessing.
